Enrolment Fees
Payable on lodging an initial enrolment application:

Enrolment application fee: Non-refundable fee that covers the administrative cost of processing each application. Applications cannot be processed until this fee is received.
Enrolment bond: Refundable in full when the last learner in the family leaves the school, provided all outstanding financial obligations have been met. Payment of this bond is taken to be acceptance of an offer of enrolment at the school. It is a condition of any enrolment offer that this bond be paid prior to your child commencing their first day at MIS. Non-payment may result in an offer of enrolment being withdrawn.

Tuition fees and levies are billed at the end of each new term and are payable by the first day of term for new students (or the last day of the prior term for existing students).
Camp fees* and an IT device (for use onsite) are included in the annual tuition fees.
Resource levy: This levy is charged to cover all compulsory workbook items, the school’s IT program, subject costs, photocopying, non-subject specific classroom consumables, learner accident and insurance premiums. Camp fees are included in the annual tuition fees. In addition, this levy covers the basic stationery items listed in the Stationery List provided in the Enrolment Package. If your child has specific sensory requirements for any of the listed items, you are welcome to source and label them for use at school. It excludes some costs that are charged on a user-pay basis e.g. some excursions, individual and group creative arts tuition costs and bus fares.
Building levy: This levy is a compulsory contribution that is non-tax deductible. This contribution provides for the ongoing maintenance and improvement of the school’s learning environments.
Sibling Discount
Families with multiple children enrolled are eligible for a discount on the Tuition Fee: the 2nd student receives a 50% discount, and each additional student thereafter also receives a 50% discount. Please note that families in receipt of a bursary or tailored fee-relief arrangements are not eligible for this sibling discount.
Personalised Learning Costs
Annual tuition fees and levies cover our core educational programs, including all learning areas required to deliver the Australian Curriculum and Queensland senior pathways. Costs that arise in the development of a learner’s personal project or personalised learning pathway that sit outside these core areas remain a family’s responsibility. These costs may include:
- A course or activity provided by an external supplier or VET provider
- An external exam or assessment that incurs additional costs
- Specialised materials or resources required for individual projects
- Transport to and from external work experience, mentors, or training placements.
We do not make financial commitments arising from individual personal projects on behalf of families. Arrangements and payments for these additional external costs remain with the family; however, our team is always happy to discuss potential options and support.

Financial Hardship & Accessibility: If your family is experiencing financial hardship or difficulties meeting fee payments, please contact our Principal. We work directly with families to discuss confidential payment arrangements and support options to ensure young people can continue participating in their education.
Please note, school fees are subject to an annual indexation review of approximately 3% per year.
Terms of Payment
- Fees outstanding after the due date or missed payments on direct debit plans may incur a $50 administrative late fee.
- Fee accounts must remain up-to-date in order for a learner to participate in optional external trips or school camps.
- Enrolments may be suspended for accounts that remain in default of agreed payment plans at the end of a school term.
- A full term’s notice in writing is required prior to withdrawing a learner from the school. Failure to provide a full term’s written notice will result in one term’s tuition fees being invoiced, against which the Enrolment Bond will be credited.
- Should a young person be suspended or expelled, current term fees remain payable in full.
- The enrolment bond is held as security against outstanding financial obligations. It will not be refunded if property damage costs remain outstanding, if fees are unpaid, or if required withdrawal notice is not provided.
- School fees cover core educational delivery and inclusive programs. Non-attendance at events, camps, or activities does not entitle an account to a fee reduction or discount.
- The resource levy covers workbook items, IT access, subject costs, photocopying, consumables, and student accident insurance. Supplying personal stationery items does not qualify an account for a reduction in the resource levy.
